現在の活動
・東京佼成ウインドオーケストラ、ティンパニ奏者。
・シアターオーケストラトウキョウ、首席ティンパニ奏者。
（Kバレエトウキョウの専属オーケストラ）
・東京音楽大学吹奏楽アカデミー専攻、講師。
埼玉県川越市出身。国立音楽大学音楽学部打楽器専攻卒業。 在学中より国内主要オーケストラへの客演を開始し、プロ奏者としてのキャリアをスタートさせる。
現在はティンパニ奏者として、吹奏楽からオーケストラ、バレエ音楽、古楽まで幅広い分野で演奏活動を展開している。
主要活動歴
・NHK交響楽団、東京交響楽団、神奈川フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、群馬交響楽団、東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団、東京シティフィル・ハーモニック管弦楽団、札幌交響楽団など全国の主要オーケストラにゲストティンパニストとして出演。
・ヘンデル・フェスティバル・ジャパン、明治学院バッハアカデミーなどでバロックティンパニ奏者としても活躍。
・世界からメジャーオーケストラのプレイヤーを集めたスーパーワールドオーケストラ、ハンガリー国立フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、ミハイロフスキー劇場管弦楽団（旧レニングラード劇場）など国際的な団体の公演にも参加。
・シドニー音楽院、シンガポールWEST WINDSのメンバーを対象にしたマスタークラスの講師を務める。
レコーディング、メディア実績
・劇団四季『リトルマーメイド』のレコーディング
『のだめカンタービレ』の映画やスペシャルドラマ
NHKの『西郷どん』『コズミックフロント』
などのレコーディングに参加。
フィギュアスケートの『メダリストオンアイス』では
ティンパニストとして出演。

Yuki Sakamoto is the Principal Timpanist of the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra and K-BALLET TOKYO. Known for his pursuit of a deep, enveloping sound that combines warmth, sharpness, and transparency, Sakamoto’s playing is defined by an uncompromising dedication to tone color as his signature.
A Yamaha Artist, he has performed extensively throughout Japan and internationally, collaborating with a wide range of distinguished conductors. Beyond the stage, Sakamoto is a multi-faceted communicator—appearing in talk sessions, radio programs, and podcasts to share insights into the cultural significance of percussion. He is also a prolific essayist, connecting with audiences through his online publications.
As a dedicated educator, Sakamoto serves on the faculty at Tokyo College of Music and is frequently invited to teach internationally, including masterclasses at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and for members of West Winds (Singapore). In his teaching, he mentors the next generation in his holistic approach to sound, technique, and musical expression.
